OK, seriously, this is the last time this whole moving/not moving issue is going to change. We promise.
The ComedyCity improv troupe has a new, permanent home at the Sports Corner in downtown De Pere. The move, just three blocks away from our current location, will take place at the beginning of March, with our first shows in the new venue on Friday and Saturday, March 5th and 6th. Showtimes will continue to be at 7:30 and 9:30pm every Friday and Saturday.
“This is an exciting time for the troupe. Moving to the Sports Corner will open up a host of new opportunities for us, and for our legions of fans,” commented ComedyCity owner Mike Eserkaln. “We also want to clarify that this is the Sports Corner in downtown De Pere, not Coaches Corner off 41. There’s been some confusion. No offense to the Coaches Corner folks.”
The annual 28-Hour Marathon of Comedy will be held at the new venue on March 26 and 27. The final production on the Venture Theatre schedule, APS: Aerial Port Squadron, will also take place at the Sports Corner. That show runs Friday and Saturday nights at 8pm, from April 9th through May 1st.
Ticket prices will remain the same – ComedyCity shows will continue to be $10 for adults, and $8 for students, seniors and military personnel. Venture Theatre shows are $12 for adults and $10 for students, seniors and military personnel. All ComedyCity / Venture Theatre coupons and gift cards will be accepted for shows at our new home.
The address of the new venue is 500 Grant Street, De Pere, WI 54115 on the corner of 5th & Grant, next to the Nicolet Restaurant. For reservation and show information, call 920-983-0966 or on the web at www.ComedyCityOnline.com and www.VentureTheatreOnline.com.
ComedyCity has been entertaining Northeast Wisconsin for over 20 years with their unique brand of family-friendly improvisational comedy.
Venture Theatre has been producing original, locally written scripted plays since 2005.
Located at the corner of 5th and Grant, The Sports Corner is a sports themed bar and grill that also hosts various meeting and banquet events. The historic building that houses the Sports Corner opened in 1912 as the Hotel Roffers.

Every Saturday night features a little extra fun and excitement after the late show. And best of all, it’s FREE!

The final piece of our ninth ComedyCity 28-Hour Marathon of Comedy wrapped up last weekend with a private show just for the members of the two awesome charities, and the check presentations.
