What the heck is ComedyCity?
ComedyCity is a troupe of improvisational comedy performers. We feature 5 shows each week, and because it’s improvisation, you never see the same show twice. ComedyCity is the longest running comedy club in Northeast Wisconsin - We’ve been performing in and around the area for over 20 years.

What is Improv?
Improvisation is defined as the ability to create and perform spontaneously or without preparation. In short, nothing is scripted, we make stuff up on the spot. It’s comedy without a net.

When are the shows?
• Thursdays @ 7:30pm
• Fridays @ 7:30 & 9:30pm
• Saturdays @ 7:30 & 9:30pm

What are ComedyCity shows like?
Each of our shows features a group of performers that entertain with a series of short scenes, songs & sketches based on audience suggestions. So we might ask for your favorite animal, or something you find in your garage, and the players take that suggestion and create the action on stage.

The Friday & Saturday shows feature two teams of three competing head to head. They last about 90 minutes with an intermission. The Thursday show features one team of three, and runs about 60 minutes.

How much is it?
• Admission to the Friday & Saturday shows is $10 for adults / $8 for students.
• Admission to the Thursday show is $7 / $5 for students.

Definitely. It’s easy. We’ll come and do a show for you, or you can rent our our snazzy theatre for a meeting or event. Check out this page for more details.

Tell me about the building.
Well, ComedyCity is housed in the old De Pere library. The construction for the building began in 1935 as part of a public works program, and finished in 1936. It utilized stone cut from the Scray’s Hill quarry. An addition to the building (which is now Venture Theatre) was added in the 1960’s. Major remodelling was completed in 2005, but many elements of the original building were retained including 1930’s light fixtures, the library circulation desk and the original fireplace.
