28-Hour Marathon Raises Over $5,000

As many of you know, each year we do a blowout charity event here at the ComedyCity LaughterDome.  The 28-Hour Marathon of Comedy has us going non-stop for 28+ hours from Friday night in the wee hours of Saturday to raise money for local children’s cancer charities.

This year’s Marathon exceeded our expectations.  With the help of our wonderful audience, we raised $5,138 for the Angel Fund and Families of Children with Cancer.  We could not have done it without the support of our wonderful sponsors and donors.

On May 24, 2010 we hosted a free show for kids & families that have been helped by these two amazing charities, and we presented them with the checks from the 28-Hour Marathon of Comedy.

At one point on Saturday morning we moved outside to ‘air out’ the room.  One of the outdoor games played was ‘Grand Theft Auto’ with Larry’s actual convertible.

Several alumni players joined us on stage Saturday morning.  Here Rebecca Padlock, Matt Anderson and Scott Eastman show off their driving skills.

All the alumni players on stage for a rousing rendition of “Da Do Run Run.”

The yellow team (Scott, Jess & Jason) for the opening ‘March Madness’ show lookin’ all tough.

The ComedyCity ‘Apprentice’ show was hosted by Ken & the Donald (Mike).

The Fox 11 morning crew came and did a live show Saturday morning.  Here’s us with Alison Struve and the camera guy.

The ‘Weather Peeps Challenge’ took place Saturday afternoon.  Channel 5’s Tom Mahoney threw down against fellow meteorologist and arch nemesis, Rebecca Schuld.

These wonderful sponsors, raffle prize donors and volunteers helped make the 2010 Marathon our most successful ever.  Please click the image to read it full size.  Thank you!  Thank you!  Thank you!
